Hi everyone Larry here and welcome back. This blog is going to be about gadgets that help those who have weak hands and/or people with arthritis. I have been suffering with arthritis for over thirty years. One thing I have learned is that people with arthritis need to learn how to do things different.

When I was working as an electrician one thing, I did was put larger handle grips on the many of the tools I had to use. This allowed me to grip the tool firmly. At home I found different gadgets to help me with gripping or bending down to do simple task like opening a pickle jar or picking up something that dropped on the floor. So here are a few gadgets I found to help me with this terrible medical condition.

Opener Set

Here is one gadget I personally found to be very helpful. You can open all kinds of different bottles, jars and other containers using the jar opener, bottle opener and gripping pad that comes with this opener set.

The jar gripper fits most jar/bottle lids or caps. Those of us with weak hands know what it is like to not being able to open a water bottle or a pop bottle. The bottle opener takes off bottle caps, a screw top opener assists with water bottle and soda tops. There is a pull tab hook that pulls off can tops. With this opener set I no longer need to rely on someone else to open a bottle, jar or soda can. This convenient gadget has saved my hands from the pain and stress of opening jars, bottles, and soda cans.

Grabber Reacher Pickup Gadget

As we age and/or if we have a debilitating disease such as arthritis reaching and grabbing items is harder and harder to do. This tool is good for reaching and picking up those items we are trying to get.

The grabber pickup gadget will help you reach anything you need.  No more bending over, stretching or squatting to get what you need. I have found it very useful to pickup the litter from our yard.

The grippers, for reaching gadget is ideal for picking from the higher shelf. The grabber is made of the highest quality materials for maximum strength and durability. The Grabber Reacher Pickup Gadget is lightweight. The stick is made of strong aluminum alloy and has a handle that is thicker than most for easy gripping and comfort.

 Dressing Assist Gadget

Are you like me and struggle with buttoning your shirt when dressing in the morning. What about buttoning up a jacket when you are going out.

This Dressing Assist Gadget will help you with both situations. With the dressing aid buttoning clothing is easier and less frustrating. The dress hook has a thick rubbery handle that is wide to allow for greater control and overall comfort when fastening buttons. The zipper hook makes zipping clothing and jackets easier. I take this gem of a gadget everywhere, fits nicely in a pocket.

Sock Aid Gadget

Do you struggle putting your socks on in the morning because of mobility issues? I used to but not any longer with the sock aid gadget. This gadget helped me put on socks or stockings independently. This is a great gadget for those who are having difficulty to bend down, recovering from back, knee or hip replacement surgery or for those with limited mobility.

Drinking Mug

This next gadget is something I use everyday. It is a mug with two handles so those of us who do not have the strength to hold a mug with our hands or those who have trouble trembling can use both handles to drink from the mug. No more losing my grip and dropping the mug. The mug has a smooth finish, made of ceramic, lightweight and is dishwasher safe.

Adaptive Utensil Set

The Adaptive Utensils Set is great for people who suffer from arthritics and/or trembling. I personally do not use this set yet, but I do know several people who are using them. Remember I told you at the first of this blog because of my arthritics I got larger handle grips for my tools. Same hear. The four utensils are equipped with a large, easy grip assist handle with a wide ribbed non-slip profile design for comfort, and improved control. Take them with you when travelling.
