To start off having the right pots and pans can help you get a perfect sear on a fried porkchop or lambchop, if you’re thinking about steak or chickens using a quality cast-iron pan or a nonstick pan will get the job done.

I make a smoothie once a day so having the right blender makes the process much more effortless. When preparing meals it’s all about the tools you’ve got to do the job.

There are many gadgets that can help you save time and effort in the kitchen. So here are some gadgets that we feel you might want that can make preparing meals in the kitchen a little less time-consuming and stressful. So less get started.

Cutting Board Set

We purchased this set of cutting boards and threw out our older wooden boards the same day. The four cutting boards are the perfect size for preparing meals. The cutting boards are colour coded for different food types to reduce cross contamination. These cutting boards don’t slide around on our granite counter tops in the kitchen. The cutting board surfaces are smooth and easy to wash, just drop them into the dishwasher. The cutting boards are thick enough that they haven’t bent or warped. We find they are perfect for preparing meals. Using these cutting boards reduces the mess on the counter tops thus reducing our clean-up time.

Digital Kitchen Food Scale

We purchased this scale about a year ago and have been very pleased with this gadget. My husband has diabetes and had to start to  portion his meals out to help keeptrack of his food intake in order to lower his blood-sugar numbers. I now use it when baking to measure out the ingredients.

This scale is sturdy and is made of metal, and the scale is built to be able to withstand some rough handling. The digital kitchen scale is lightweight, durable, easy to use, and the readout is large enough to read clearly.

Portion control for meals is a great way to keep on track of your food intake when on a diet or like my husband who has diabetes. This digital scale is exactly what you need to dish out those exact portions so you stay on track and can keep track of your food intake.

Food Chopper, Slicer, Dicer and Grater

This food chopper contains dicer, grater and slicer blades. Easily cuts vegetable such as Onions, Garlic, Carrots, Potatoes, Pepper, Tomatoes and Cucumbers. Great for preparing veggies for salads. Made of sturdy and break resistance rubberized non-slip base.

Included is a large container that has enough space to hold the vegetables, as well as a colander basket to clean vegetables. Easy to clean with the claw and brush which is used to scrape off residue on the press plate and sweep off residue on the blades.
